Step into almost 900 years of history at Combermere Abbey. Founded in 1133 as a Cistercian monastery, the Abbey evolved from a medieval religious house into the magnificent country estate seen today. During your tour, discover the stories that shaped the estate, its architectural transformation through the centuries, and the extensive restoration work that has preserved this remarkable heritage for future generations.
Visitors can also extend their experience with an overnight stay in one of the estate’s luxury self-catering cottages or unique Bed & Breakfast, set within the beautiful parkland and grounds. The historic Walled Garden has been thoughtfully restored and is now an established and highly regarded wedding venue, hosting celebrations throughout the year.
